Belgian barista Jeroen de Corte in late June became the 2010 World Coffee in Good Spirits Champion, by coming top in a field of 26 international contestants at the competition held at the SCAE Event at Caffè Culture in London.
He achieved a total of 344 points, narrowly defeating the UK's Edmund Buston, who was the runner-up with 340 points.
Marta Piigli, last year's CIGS winner from Estonia, placed third, with 306 points.
From Australia, Mitchell Faulkner received 300 points from the judges to take fourth place, while Germany's Boryana Kotorova came fifth with 250 points and Sandór Tóth of Hungary took sixth place in the finals with 222 points.
