After a tough competition involving the country’s 22 best baristas, the SCAE’s Romanian chapter in early May chose its first three coffee champions to send to the World Championships in London, National Coordinator Sherif Abdalla reports.

The Romanian Barista Champion is Petre Mares, while the Latte Art championship was won by Ion Anghel, and Marius Morosanu won the Coffee In  Good Spirits Championship. (Pictured are the winners of the Romanian Coffee in Good Spirits Championship, with champion Ion Anghel centre).

All three of the champions will represent Romania at the World Championships to be held at Caffè Culture in London in June.
