At the Host show in Milan, held at Fieramilano, 21-25th October, SCAE membership coordinator Jayne Richards welcomed visitors to the stand and received considerable enquiries for the Coffee Diploma System, Gold Cup Research and SCAE membership.

SCAE is grateful to all of those members who attended and assisted on the stand, along with some of our Regional and National Coordinators.

SCAE’s stand successfully combined a SCAE reception desk, Gold Cup Research stand, an enquiry desk for SCAE World of Coffee, Vienna 2012, and two sizeable training workshop rooms.

 SCAE workshops at HOST

Over five days, SCAE ran Coffee Diploma workshops in two purpose-built training rooms in the Coffee Hall.

Our SCAE team was there throughout, signing up new members and taking workshop bookings. Special thanks go to our wonderful trainers: Daniel Heiniger from Switzerland, Mike Khan from the UK and Andrej Godina from Italy.

Thanks also for the fantastic support of BUNN, Mahlkönig and Nuova Simonelli, for their brewing-equipment, espresso machines and grinders. Thanks to them, we were able to deliver our courses on Grinding and Brewing Level 1, Advanced Brewing Methods Level 2, and Barista Skills Levels 1 and 2. All workshop participants had a great time training in a major trade show environment.

Also at Host, Valentina Dalle Corte received the award on behalf of outgoing Spanish National Coordinator, Rafael Moral Jiminez. David Veal, SCAE’s Executive Director, presented the award on the SCAE stand.
