Starbucks to buy 39 Coffee Vision outlets in Québec and Atlantic provinces

Roaster/retail chain Starbucks’ Canadian arm in late May said that it was to buy 39 outlets from coffee bar operator Coffee Vision.The deal, due to be finalised in August, includes Coffee Vision’s outlets located in Québec and in the Atlantic provinces, according to a report in the Montréal Gazette.
Under the undisclosed terms of the deal, about 740 Coffee Vision staff are to become employees of Starbucks Canada.
Starbucks currently has about 900 company-operated and licensed shops in Canada, the report said.
