Illycaffè to launch new coffee liqueur in July

Davide Campari Milano, the maker of the aperitif Campari, has joined with Trieste-based espresso roaster Illycaffè to introduce a new coffee liqueur, which is to be launched in Italy in July and throughout the rest of the world next year.

Illyquore, as the new product is to be called, will have a 28% alcoholic strength per unit volume, and will be based on Illycaffe’s coffee taste without any additives or colouring, according to reports in mid-June.

Under the arrangement between the two companies, Illycaffè will hold the rights to the brand, while Campari will be responsible for distribution, the reports added.
