The milk experts converge on Copenhagen for the Arla Foods workshop

18th May 2008

Coffee will not be the only focus of attention at the SCAE’s Wonderful Coffee Copenhagen 2008 event, set for June 19-22.

A major two-hour workshop session will highlight the important role of milk in today’s espresso-based beverages, and it will be presented by a group of experts, coordinated by Arla Foods, the leading dairy products supplier.

Three experts in their field will lead the presentation, “Understanding the role of milk in creating the perfect Latte or Cappuccino”. Scheduled for Saturday, June 21, at 13:00, the workshop will be presented by Sweden’s Emma Andersson, Beige Champion 2007, Bronze medallist in the Barista Cup, 5th place in the World Latte Art Championshp 2007 and a member of the Nordic Barista Cup-winning Swedish Barista Team; her Barista Team colleague Costas Pliatsikas, the Bronze medallist (second runner-up) at the World Latte Art Championship in 2006, as well as a Silver medallist in the Barista Cup and Beige Champion the same year; and by Morten Münchow, who, with a Masters degree in Biology and Philosophy, works on research and development at the Copenhagen Coffee Academy.
