Costa Coffee chain set to double in size to 2,000

30th April 2008
The UK’s top coffee chop chain Costa Coffee is to double the number of its outlets worldwide to 2,000 within five years, parent company Whitbread said in late April.
About half of the 1,000 new stores will be located in Britain, the company added.
Costa, which had a strong sales rise in 2007, already has about 700 UK outlets.
The chain also plans to open 200 outlets in Russia, Whitbread said.
