Starbucks to expand its network by 80 stores in 2008

Roaster/retail giant Starbucks in late April said it was planning to open at least 80 more outlets in China this year, and hire thousands more workers, according to a Bloomberg report.The company already has over 300 outlets in the country, and employs about 4,000, the report added.
Because of improving living standards there, Starbucks sees China as having the greatest potential of any market outside of the US, the president of the company’s Chinese arm, Wang Jinlong, was quoted as saying.
