Starbucks opens first Swedish outlet at Stockholm airport
SWEDEN 21st February 2010
Giant Seattle-based roaster retailer Starbucks in late February opened its first outlet in Sweden, at Stockholm's Arlanda airport, local reports said.
The shop, which is located in the airside area of the airport's Terminal 5, is being operated in conjunction with Starbucks' licensee Scandinavian Service Partner. SSP has already opened Starbucks outlets in a number of other European markets, including the UK, Spain, France, Germany and Switzerland.
Sweden is Starbucks' 53rd market, and the country is already served by a number of locally-based chains, including Espresso House, Coffeehouse by George and Waynes Coffee, the reports added.
